Event FAQs
Q: What kind of events can I host at Honest Friend Brewing?
A: Live performances, birthday parties, nonprofit mixers, art shows — you name it. We’re here for events that bring people together in meaningful ways. Events must be at least 2 hours long.
Q: How many people fit in the space?
A: We can seat 30 people in the event space and hold 45 including standing. We can seat 100 people in the entire taproom.
Q: How do I book the space?
A: Fill out our Event Request Form above. We’ll review your request, confirm availability, and follow up within 3-5 business days.
Q: What amenities does the space offer?
A: Our event space has a projector, comfortable seating at tables and standalone, lovely serving tables, a sliding door for privacy, and a fun but tasteful decor. Guests can make the short walk to the bar and have easy restroom and patio access. The taproom offers access to all amenities including the bar and event space.
Q: How much does it cost to rent your space?
A: The price varies based on multiple factors. All private events will include an hourly fee, a minimum bar tab and a 20% gratuity to our bar staff. We will provide an estimate upon confirming your requested event date’s availability.
Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: Yes! We offer discounted rates for nonprofits, minority-owned businesses, and community groups.
Q: What’s included in the rental fee for private events?
A: Use of the space, bar staff & tip, standard tables/chairs, and cleanup support.
Q: Can I bring my own food or drinks?
A: Outside alcohol is not allowed. Outside catering is welcome with advance approval.
Q: How much is the deposit?
A: For the event space for private events, the hourly rental fee is due upon booking. For a full taproom booking, half of the rental fee is due upon booking and the remaining fee is due a week prior to the event.
Q: What happens if I need to cancel?
A: If you cancel more than 7 days in advance, we will refund your deposit. If you cancel within seven days of the event, the deposit is non-refundable.
Q: Can I reserve a table in the taproom?
A: We do not allow table reservations for private parties.
Q: What can I do with left over food after my event?
A: We will gladly take any left over food off your hands and donate it to local mutual aid organizations to make sure it is distributed to folks who could use it.
